The region, known for its high rates of unbanked individuals, is undergoing a radical transformation in how its citizens access financial services.

We find ourselves in an era where the financial sector faces a crossroads: embracing technological innovation, while defending against an ever-evolving cyber threat landscape. Cybersecurity has moved from being a peripheral concern to becoming the center of business strategies for companies that understand its importance. According to a Gartner report, global spending on cybersecurity is expected to reach $150 billion by 2024.

Artificial intelligence (AI) has emerged as a disruptive force across multiple sectors, and the financial realm is no exception. AI is transforming the fintech industry in profound and varied ways, from process automation to personalized customer services. In this context, fintech startups integrating AI solutions are not only enhancing operational efficiency but also redefining the user experience.

At the end of May, the Fintech Immersion Program organized by Inneürope and ATEFI featured an enriching roundtable led by fintech journalist Rosa Del Blanco and four influential women internationally recognized in the fintech field: Gabriela Orille, Gabriela Roberto Baró, Pilar Troncoso and Marta de Zavala.

During the Fintech Immersion Program held in Valencia and Madrid, organized by Inneürope, ATEFI members had the opportunity to closely engage with twelve fintechs that are setting trends not only in the Spanish market but also globally. These companies are pioneers in innovation, focusing on providing advanced and efficient financial solutions in areas such as Blockchain, Digital Payments, AI, Machine Learning, SME solutions, and Green Fintech.

In a recent session of the Fintech Immersion Program, organized by Inneürope in collaboration with ATEFI, Francisco Estevan, founder of Inneürope, highlighted the keys to the European fintech ecosystem. This session aimed to provide a deep understanding of the dynamic and growing fintech landscape in Europe, as well as the opportunities and challenges it faces.

Inneürope, in collaboration with ATEFI, successfully concluded the Fintech Immersion Program. This four-day event brought together 20 prominent leaders, ATEFI members, and representatives from Latin American banks and payment operators (Telered Panamá, Unibanca (Peru), Tecban (Brazil), and 5B (Guatemala)) to explore collaboration opportunities within the fintech ecosystem and foster the exchange of knowledge and experiences to drive financial innovation.
